I'm trying to evaluate my credit standing and it's progression the past few years?

I know my credit is bad, but in looking at various sites they only seem to mention loans and credit cards. My only loan is my student loan, which is current. The bad marks on my report are all collection agency items (3 from bank overdraft originially, 2 from payday loans). What is the impact here, in trying to measure these things? All of these accounts are alteast 2 years since delinquency, and the collection accounts are being paid off for about 6-9 months now

I'm guessing, but I think your score is around 600. If you could negotiate (in writing) some Pay-for-deletes and get even 1 of the collections removed, your score could go up dramatically.

If you really want to improve your score, be sure to use your credit cards and pay them on in full each month (and never, ever be late). If you don't have any, try to get one even if its a secured card.
